Shannon's early years on a sheep farm shaped her enduring bond with animals. Raised among the nurturing presence of wildlife and the daily tasks of farm life, she was imbued with a deep-seated compassion and understanding of animals, a gift from her mother and her father's work with dogs. This rich heritage of care and connection laid the groundwork for a life devoted to enhancing the human-animal bond.

Embarking on her professional journey, Shannon qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001, marking the start of an unwavering commitment to animal welfare. The challenge of addressing her own dog's behavioural issues led Shannon down the path of dog behaviour studies, transforming her passion into expertise. Her determination to find solutions not only for her own Staffordshire Bull Terrier but also for others facing similar dilemmas drove her to acquire various qualifications in animal behaviour, aiming to fill the gap she once faced herself.

Shannon's story is deeply interwoven with her family life, where dogs are not just pets but integral family members. Alongside her husband, who has recently joined her on the Sunshine Coast to pursue his venture with Terella Brewing, and their two sons, Shannon lives a life that exemplifies the joys and challenges of including dogs in every aspect of family activity. The memory of their Staffy, Jinx, and the spirited adventures with their Kelpie, Spud, highlight the unbreakable bond they share with their dogs.
